Anvita Gupta
I’m the founder of AINovo Biotech Inc., a startup using Generative AI and Protein Design to develop new drugs and diagnostics for cancer and infectious diseases.
I did my Masters and Undergrad in Computer Science at Stanford University (AI + Biocomputation Specializations). At Stanford, I worked on Generative AI for Synthetic Genomics and Proteomics in the Kundaje and Zou labs. As a Research Fellow at ETH Zurich, I worked on Recurrent Neural Networks for Drug Design with Prof. Gisbert Schneider. I began my research journey working on Intrinsically Disordered Proteins in the lab of Prof. Gil Alterovitz at Harvard Medical School. My research interests are creating AI systems to program biology - design proteins and DNA, reprogram cells, or modulate biomolecular interactions.
I also work to inspire young women in STEM through LITAS For Girls, an international nonprofit I began in 2014. Check out the LITAS For Girls website to learn more.
